DUBS No 8 has a mainline run 30th November 2003
Former Emu Bay Railway locomotive Dubs No8, restored by the Don River Railway, had a mainline run from Devonport to Burnie on a special train.
Just west of Turners Beach, the Dubs is being followed by a Ganger with fire fighting gear, just in case.
Only a very small train, of British railway enthusiasts.
Posed at Penguin Station
The main driving wheels had gained white sidewalls.
A close-up
As can be seen here, The main set of drivers are very wide and flangeless. The "white sidewalls" are the result of this section of the wheel chewing up the gravel, especially at level crossings.
Just to the west of Penguin.
