Most of the following pictures were taken on the 22nd Feb 2000. This was the start of the "Hash House Harriers" special train to Launceston and Hobart. This train was hauled by 4 diesel engines, belonging to the Don River Railway and the Derwent Valley Railway.

3 of the 8 engines of the Y class were at the Don this day.

Back to 14 December 1991. CCS25 is arriving at the Don Station with a very important load... The Governor of Tasmania Sir Phillip Bennet is about to officially open the Don River Railway. Although trains had been running here for well over ten years the complex had never had an official opening ceremony.

Note the plate on the loco smokebox, it is reported to be the same crest as on the A class shown on the Burnie photo page
