DV1 a few kilometres from its normal home trails 4588, 2009, 2003 & 2010 on train 35, 17 Oct 2002
The nearly 1km long train stretched from here up to the Picnic Point Corner, in the far distance.
4588, turned at Burnie, is once again in the lead of train 35 as it passes through Leith.
DV1 is definitely out of place on this train.

Just starting on the ascent of the Don Hill.
Near the summit of Don bank, all engines seem to be working.
Only 50 yards to go.

Earlier in the day 4588 with a broken coupler is seen heading the other way just to the west of Penguin. and train 36 is late. 4588 has been moved to lead the consist, all three engines are running but the train has stopped several times with some problem.

4588 arriving at South Burnie where the 6 coal wagins were shunted into the coal siding at the Australian Paper Burnie mill.
