Ex Melba Line 1105 goes to Deloraine for repaint before shipment to Queensland
1105, which led the last vacuum braked concentrates train on the Melba line has been sold to the Beaudesert Railway, near Brisbane. Its' first run on the Western Line was captured here by John Robertson at Ulverstone on October 1, 2002.
Its destination was Deloraine, where the loco has been repainted at the rail connected workshop of Greg Beck Painters, who also painted Z classes 2112, 2113 and the cement train's DV1 for Tasrail
This is how it looked on Oct 19. Note the Tasrail logo has been removed.
The new look of 1105 painted navy blue, with beige? stripes and yellow/ cream buffer beams.

The BEAUDESERT logo. The numbers have been removed from the buffer beams, but those on the cab sides have been retained.
1105 in front of Burnie Station. The engine moved back to Burnie on Tuesday 5th November and has been placed in the shed pending shipment to Queensland.
